Rainbow Village is a transitional housing program for homeless families in north metro Atlanta. But it’s much more than that. It’s a safe place where families are transformed. Rainbow Village proves the old adage, “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day; teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime,” is true. Over 90% of the families who have passed through the program since 1991 have permanently escaped this cycle of homelessness, poverty and domestic violence, returning to lives of stability, achievement, and meaning. The organization offers a wide range of support services including case management, a mandatory after school program for all school-aged children, and life skills training.
