» The Art of Giving Contest

The Art of Giving competition challenges middle and high school students to reflect on the importance of charitable giving through art and writing. In the art category, students will submit original artwork that either captures “the essence of giving and generosity” or illustrates what charitable giving means to them. Students will be free to work in any flat medium (painting, drawing, photography, collage, computer design, etc.).

In the writing category, students will submit original essays on the importance of giving, the best “white envelope” gift someone could give this year, or how the next generation can make a difference. The winners from each group will be awarded savings bonds. In addition, the winning entries will be featured on our website and on the front of the 2008 series of “white envelope” tribute gift cards.
